  • Dental plaqueis a soft whitish deposit that forms on the surface of teeth. It forms when germs (bacteria) combine with food and saliva. Plaque contains many types of bacteria. You can remove plaque by good oral hygiene.
  • Tartar (calculus)is hardened calcified plaque. It sticks firmly to teeth. Generally, it can only be removed with special instruments by a dentist or dental hygienist.
We use the highest standards of dental tools to provide you with a comfortable and quick dental cleaning appointment with us. Teeth are cleaned using special high pressured water nozzles with minerals which forces layers of tartar off the tooth’s surface. Your dentist will use other tools to scale any remaining risks off the surface, and every tooth will be polished to an instant shine.

Teeth Cleaning Instructions:

Brush your teeth at least twice a day. Use a soft-tufted brush and a toothpaste that contains fluoride. Ideally, brush your teeth either just before eating, or at least an hour after eating. The reason for this is to help prevent tooth erosion. Many foods contain acids – in particular, fizzy drinks (including fizzy water) and fruit juices that will soften the enamel of the tooth. Therefore, do not brush teeth immediately after eating when the enamel tends to be at its softest. It is best to wait at least an hour after eating or drinking anything before brushing.
